Lauderdale-By-The-Sea is completely walkable and everything is conveniently located, including charming family-owned hotels to which guests return year after year.

We take pride in being different from our big neighbors to our north and south (Fort Lauderdale and Pompano Beach), radiating old Florida charm with our low-rise downtown building restrictions and predominantly mid-century modern architecture giving us a distinctive identity - and we embrace both of them as important features of our legacy and heritage.

We are a “flip-flop kind of town,” so throw a shirt over your bathing suit and enjoy the beach life!
